The question is what influences you most, the fashion that you see portrayed in all those fashion magazines or the clothes that people about you wear?

It is quite easy to be influenced by magazines. They give you all the tips on what it is that one should be seen wearing during the next season, how to wear it and where to buy it, but it doesn’t seem very real because one can’t see it in real life.

On the other hand, when one sees someone with a great outfit on and you can’t help but think how wonderful it looks on them is when you really feel like going out to find out where you can buy it.

Of course, this person has maybe thought the same thing in that they saw a person wearing a similar outfit or maybe they did actually copy the idea from a magazine. Well it seems that it must all be a circle. We are never to know who copies from what but at the end of the day we all copy from somewhere whether it be from a magazine or person.

And now one understands why the super stars and celebrities are allowed to wear, in fact ‘allowed’ is not the word, better said would be ‘pleaded’ to wear, those fantastically high priced evening gowns, jewels, expensive hand bags etc, because it is obvious that the manufacturers and designers know that when these items are actually seen in real life and in a real life situation that is so public that it is after that that there will be an extra demand to buy them.

The proof of this are those comments that you see over internet where people ask things like ‘who designed the dress that Sharon Stone wore for the Oscars and where can I find it?’ or simply ‘where can I buy that hand bag that Julia Roberts was wearing?’.

Conclusion – seeing it for your self in real life has actually a slightly stronger influence than just seeing it in a magazine.
